J.P. Verwijs Import Export B.V. was founded in 1988. The company is privately owned and is run by its founders.

 

As a company, our mission is to import and export nothing but the very highest quality of frozen fish and seafood. Amongst other international accreditation bodies, we are approved by HACCP and certified by DNV for BRC, grade A and IFS, higher level.

Our state of the art cold store uses all the latest high technology and incorporates a massive 15.000 m³ of movable racking for efficient storage and despatch. On site, we also have dedicated chill room and processing facilities.

  



We are based in Rilland in the Netherlands, strategically located right on the A58, the main route to Belgium that gives such easy access to the major ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. We distribute quickly and efficiently throughout Benelux using our own transport. For deliveries further afield, we use our trusted transport partners. By sea, by air - anywhere in the world - we deliver.

We purchase directly from international sources around the globe and our products come from the shallows and depths of the seven seas. Over the years, we have developed close co-operations with a range of trusted suppliers so we can be sure of close inspection and proper quality control on all our raw materials. We have producers and suppliers in Taiwan, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Oman, Yemen and Brazil. Our experience and the co-operation of our Suppliers ensure a consistent flow of high quality frozen fish and seafood.

Part of the service we offer is to pack to our customer's particular specifications - for retail or for catering etc. - all in our fully automated and quality controlled facilities.
